William Grant Still’s work is one of the most popular American symphonies, synthesizing jazz and blues perfectly into symphonic form. Our concertmaster, Mateusz Wolski, performs Barber’s virtuosic and rich Violin Concerto, we hear music from former Spokanite George Frederick McKay, and we’re thrilled to present a new work by Sydney Guillaume.
