Anna Clyne’s cello concerto DANCE took Spokane by storm last season, and here we present the brilliant composer’s celebratory Masquerade, written for the BBC Proms. As a prelude to Rachmaninoff’s 150th birthday year in 2023, we perform his epic Second Symphony, a work full of melodic passion. We welcome the Seattle Symphony’s Principal Flutist Demarre McGill to play Nielsen’s quirky and humorous Flute Concerto.
